I'm On Track to be Certified This School Year

Students enrolled in a New York State teacher preparation program must show that they are in good standing and on track to receive a certificate before they begin teaching.  

If you are completing—or recently completed—a New York State-approved teacher preparation program, and will receive your teacher certification by September 2025, you must obtain an On Track Letter completed by your college or university. Submit this letter as supporting documentation for your certification when completing the NYC Teacher Application.
